Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 18.03.2026
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the permitted and prohibited uses of the SciFork Insight platform (the "Service"), operated by SciFork SARL. This AUP forms an integral part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply strictly with this policy.
2. Prohibited Content (Uploads)
You are solely responsible for the documents, PDFs, and data you upload to create your knowledge bases. You agree not to upload, store, or process any content that:
- Infringes Intellectual Property: Documents containing copyrighted material, trade secrets, patents, or trademarks for which you do not hold the necessary licenses or express permissions.
- Is Illegal or Harmful: Content that promotes illegal acts, violence, terrorism, or exploitation, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
- Contains Malicious Code: Files containing viruses, malware, ransomware, trojan horses, or any other code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure or third-party processing systems. SciFork SARL reserves the right to automatically scan uploaded files for malicious code.
- Contains Highly Sensitive Personal Data: Unless you are subject to our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) as a B2B user per our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, you may not upload special categories of personal data (under GDPR/FADP) such as medical records (PHI), biometric data, or unredacted government identification numbers.
3. Prohibited Actions (Usage, AI Generation, and Outputs)
When querying your knowledge base, generating AI responses, or interacting with the Service, you agree not to:
- Abuse the AI Infrastructure: Attempt to bypass safety filters, execute "prompt injection" attacks, or manipulate the AI models into generating harmful, illegal, or logically destructive outputs.
- Misuse AI Outputs: Represent AI-generated outputs as independently verified human work, use the outputs to deceive or mislead third parties, or rely on the Service to provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
- Degrade System Performance & Bulk Scraping: Use automated bots, scrapers, or high-volume scripts to query the Service, bypass rate limits, or execute Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. You may not systematically scrape or execute bulk automated downloads of source documents from your or another user's knowledge base.
- Reverse Engineer & Probe Security: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the underlying source code, AI prompts, or indexing architecture of the Service. You strictly may not probe, test, or attempt to bypass our logical isolation and metadata filtering systems to access documents belonging to other users.
- Account Sharing: Share your authentication credentials with unauthorized third parties to bypass subscription limits.
4. Enforcement, Liability, and Consequences
- Safe Harbour and Monitoring: SciFork SARL reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to monitor usage to ensure compliance with this AUP. We are not liable for any harms resulting from a user's violation of this policy or our failure to detect such a violation.
- Team Member Liability: If you are an Account Owner utilizing the Team Member feature, you are strictly liable for the actions of your invited users.
- Consequences of Violation: If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you or your Team
Members have violated this policy, we may take any of the following actions without prior notice:
- Immediately suspend or permanently terminate your entire account (including all sub-account access).
- Delete the offending knowledge bases, documents, and chat histories.
- Refuse any refunds for remaining subscription periods.
- Report illegal activities and provide relevant logs and user data to the appropriate Swiss or international law enforcement authorities.

6. Policy Updates
SciFork SARL reserves the right to update or modify this AUP at any time to reflect changes in our Service, security landscape, or legal requirements. If we make material changes to this policy, we will provide you with reasonable advance notice—typically at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect—via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
